Pricing and payment
How much does septic tank cleaning cost in Kochi?
Residential rate is up to ₹4,500 per load — the maximum approved by Kochi Municipal Corporation under Bylaw 2022. A standard home tank usually needs one load. Commercial, apartment, and monthly-contract customers qualify for volume discounts.
What does "per load" mean?
One load is one full tanker visit — approximately 5,000 litres of usable collection space. Most residential septic tanks clean in one load. Larger tanks, long-overdue tanks with compacted sludge, or homes needing both septic and soak pit cleanup may require multiple loads at the same per-load rate.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The ₹4,500 per load rate includes arrival, access assessment, extraction, tank inspection, licensed disposal, site cleanup, and a GST-compliant invoice. If an unexpected second load is needed, we tell you and confirm before continuing.
How can I pay?
Cash, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS), or card. Invoice provided for every payment method.
Service and process
How long does septic tank cleaning take?
A standard residential tank: 45–90 minutes. Apartment or large commercial systems: 2–4 hours or multiple visits depending on size.
What do you inspect during cleaning?
Tank walls for cracks, inlet and outlet pipes for blockage, baffles for damage, access cover for sealing integrity, and joints for root intrusion.
Do you also clean soak pits?
Yes. Soak pits are a separate system from septic tanks and often need cleaning at the same time. A failed soak pit is a common hidden cause of "the septic tank keeps overflowing".
Will the cleaning smell bad afterwards?
During cleaning and for 1–2 hours after, yes — septic work has unavoidable odour. We minimize it with sealed hoses and proper cover techniques. By evening, you should notice nothing.
Emergency and scheduling
Are you really available 24 hours?
Yes. Septic emergencies — overflowing tanks, backups, blocked soak pits — don't wait for business hours. Call any time. Typical response: 15–60 minutes depending on area.
What's the fastest way to book?
Phone call. Most bookings confirm in five minutes including arrival window. WhatsApp works too (5–15 minute response).
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Someone over 18 should be present to approve the load count and sign the invoice. It can be you, a family member, or a designated representative.
Licensing and compliance
Are you licensed?
Yes. Kochi Municipal Corporation License KMCSW2025133, issued under the Septage Management & Maintenance Bylaw 2022. Verifiable on the Corporation's site at mykochi.lsgkerala.gov.in.
Where does the collected waste go?
To Corporation-designated disposal sites, as required under the 2022 Bylaw. Licensed disposal is mandatory for licensed operators — no roadside ditches or unauthorized ground.
Why does licensing matter?
Licensed operators are accountable to the Corporation — we can't dump illegally or overcharge without consequence. Unlicensed operators offer none of that.
